http://www.journalofartistsbooks.org/ JAB - The Journal of Artists' Books is pleased to announce the launch of its new, comprehensive, and easily navigable web site. Since 1994 JAB has been publishing articles on the intersections of book arts, artists books, poetry, photography, experimental literature, printmaking, graphic design as well as showcasing the creative effforts of practicing artists through cover designs, artists pages, and inserts. The new web site provides PDF versions of back issues and a comprehensive name index of all the authors, artists, and presses that have been discussed within articles or whose artwork has appeared as a part of the journal, providing a rich resource for the study of the field of artists' books. JAB is also indexed in Art Abstracts, CSA's ARTbibliographies Modern, and in Bibliography of the History of Art. If you don't currently subscribe to JAB, the web site also provides information about the themes for upcoming issues, as well as detailed information about the current issue, JAB22, which has all sorts of extras including an artists' book/map and a CD recording of all the lectures and discussion sessions from the ACTION/INTERACTION:Book/Arts Conference held last June at Columbia College Chicago. This new web site is made possible through the expertise and generosity of JAB web mistress Elisabeth Long and is currently residing on a University of Chicago server (don't be surprised by the redirect), but will move to the Columbia College Chicago server soon. Using the www.journalofartistsbooks.org URL will always get you to the site, wherever it resides.
