PART TIME VISUAL RESOURCES LIBRARIAN

 

UW-Stout, Art and Design

Anticipated start date of August 4, 2008  

 

The candidate will supervise general operation of the Visual Resources Center.  The candidate should demonstrate sensitivity to art and design aesthetics and critical thinking.  Excellence should be demonstrated by professional experience in the field of information management as well as in art history and/or art or design. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues is essential.

 

Qualifications:

• Ph.D., M.A., M.S. or MFA in visual studies (art history or visual art or design studio) with coursework in library science or experience in management of university visual resources (slide library) or M.L.S./M.L.I.S. with coursework in Art, Design, or Art History

• Experience with electronic media, including database management

• Supervised or management experience in a visual resources collection
