I'm glad someone mentioned architecture! With the construction management degree in mind I would want to have the latest ed. of Sir Banister Fletcher's a history of architecture as well as the Phaidon atlas of contemporary world architecture. And with the packaging design degree in mind, maybe some kind of design yearbook such as the Red Dot Design Yearbook? Of course this is without seeing the specifics of the curriculum. The only programs in Dubai that might possibly have a connection to art/art history are packaging design and construction management.
