Desperately seeking an image of the Chinese mace described below:

"One Chinese form is quite characteristic.  It has the 'long life' character in quite high relief repeated six times around the head.  It would not only smash a man's head but stamp it with the character meaning long life."  [ouch!]

This paragraph is from A Glossary of the Construction, Decoration and Use of Arms and Armor in All Countries and in All Times, Together with Some Closely Related Subjects by George Cameron Stone (Jack Brussel, 1961), p. 421.  The paragraph indicates that there are images of Chinese maces in figure 533 on the next page, but the caption does not provide enough detail as to which it might be, or if it’s even reproduced at all.  The reproductions are quite small and detail is not visible.

Thanks very much.

Sara
