ANNOUNCEMENT
of Slate of Candidates for the ARLIS/NA 2008 Executive Board
and
CALL for NOMINATIONS
The Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the following slate of
candidates for the 2008 Executive Board. The slate has been unanimously
approved by the ARLIS/NA Executive Board and is now subject to a period
of comment by the ARLIS/NA membership to commence from now until December 15,
2007.
At
the end of this period, and if no comment is received, the slate will be
considered
elected by acclamation.

As set forth in the ARLIS/NA Bylaws, Article IX Sect. 4, additional nominations
for these offices of the ARLIS/NA Executive Board may be entered by petition
with the signature of at least 10 members eligible to vote and with supporting
documentation for each nominee consisting of:
Candidacy – formal
statement of intent to stand for a particular Executive Board office and
indicating term of service
Resume – brief professional
resume listing education, employment history, ARLIS/NA and other professional
service activities
Goals statement – 250 word
statement describing candidate’s particular interests and goals related
to the office and the future of ARLIS/NA
Photograph –
informal/formal digital photo of candidate
Supporting documentation must be received by the Chair of the Nominating
Committee at the email or postal address provided below no later than December 15,
2007.
If additional candidates are nominated
for any office, a ballot will be prepared and distributed for voting by the ARLIS/NA
membership.
If the committee receives no additional nominations by the deadline, the
slate of officers (as provided above) will be considered elected by acclamation
and will be announced to the membership forthwith.
