Dear Friends,

Our colleague, Bill Dane, the Newark Public Library's Keeper of Works of
Art on Paper, a long-time member of ARLIS and a life-long friend of the
arts, is being honored for his 60 years of service.

On Wednesday, November 14th from 6 pm to 8 pm, his newest exhibition,
"The World in Prints: An International Survey of Graphic Arts
Contemporary and Historic," opens with a festive celebration in the
Centennial Hall of the Newark Public Library.

On Monday, December 3rd from 2 pm to 4 pm, a panel discussion entitled
"Speaking of Prints" will take place, also at the Newark Public Library.
Hilda Werschkul, art historian and adjunct professor at Montclair State
University, and Jorge Daniel Veneciano, director of the Paul Robeson
Gallery at Rutgers-Newark, will speak. Bill Dane himself will be the
third speaker.

I hope that many of you will be able to attend one or the other (or
both!) of these events to celebrate the achievements of a man who needs
no introduction to many of you.

Please R.S.V.P. to the Newark Public Library at 973-733-7793.

Sincerely yours,

William A. Peniston, Ph.D.
