Donna Ruskin will present a collection of slides showing her earlier work as well as new images.  She will discuss her evolution as a photographer and her 3rd Floor exhibition “Sammy and Beyond” with Susan Kleckner.

 

Donna Ruskin is a New York-based photographer who continues to add to her ever-expanding collection of poignant, compassionate and often amusing dog images regardless of other projects she might be involved with. Her work has widely been exhibited and published in numerous publications including A Thousand Hounds, Funny Puppies, Cool Cats, Dogs in Love, Cool Mutts, and Cats in Love. Her photographs are held in many permanent collections including Hewlett Packard, Musée de la Photographie (Belgium), Museet for Fotokunst (Denmark), Museum of the City of New York, National Association of Security Dealers, and Saint Barnabas Medical Center (New Jersey). She is an Education Associate at the School of The International Center of Photography in New York.

 

Susan Kleckner is an artist and educator working in photography, film, video, and performance/installation. Her work has widely been exhibited in museums, galleries and cinemas in the United States and abroad. She is the recipient of numerous awards, scholarships, residencies and grants including a 1997 NYFA Catalog Project Grant. She was the curator of “Windowpeace” exhibition and the juror for Fulbright Fellowships in Film. She is a long-term faculty member at the School of The International Center of Photography. She is listed in Who’s Who in American Art and Veteran Feminists of America.
