Head Librarian, Architecture & Planning Library University of Texas Libraries - The University of Texas at Austin The Head Librarian is responsible for the operations and management of the Architecture & Planning Library. Responsibilities include the planning, organization, implementation and assessment of all activities including faculty relations, user services, personnel, budget, resource development, and policy-making. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to build successful partnerships with the School of Architecture and across campus as well as taking a leadership role in related professional organizations. The position reports to the Associate Director for User Services, University of Texas Libraries. The Architecture & Planning Library is located in historic Battle Hall, recently named as one of America's favorite buildings by the American Institute of Architects. Collections support the research and teaching of the School of Architecture, including Architecture, Architectural History, Community & Regional Planning, Historic Preservation, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Sustainable Design, Urban Design and related disciplines. The Architecture & Planning Library houses the Alexander Architectural Archive which includes more than 90 collections of architectural drawings and other artifacts emphasizing the Southwest United States.
