COME TO NASHVILLE WITH ARLIS/NA SOUTHEAST NOVEMBER 8-10

 

ARLIS/SE invites you to join us for our November conference in Nashville, Tennessee, home of Vanderbilt University and country music.

 

We have a great line up of speakers, sessions and tours. Come see and hear about Vanderbilt’s Contini-Volterra Photograph Collection and digitization project. Learn about the Vanderbilt Television News Archive, the world’s most comprehensive archive of U.S. national news broadcasts.  You’ll be interested in presentations on the Self-Taught Artists Resource (STAR) Collection, Primary Art Research in Tennessee, Researching Illustrator Joseph A. Munro, and Hatch Show Print, one of the oldest working letterpress print shops in America.

 

Saturday morning takes us to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts Exhibitions to see The Société Anonyme and art by Australian artist Rosemary Laing.  In the afternoon we will visit Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art to see the work of self-taught artist William Edmondson and The Matilda Geddings Gray Collection of Fabergé.
