Otis College of Art and Design Digital Media professor Michael Wright will be exhibiting work in the Art Gallery and Guerilla Studio at SIGGRAPH 2007, the 34th international conference/exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques.

Wright is one of six resident artists who will be working in this year’s Guerilla Studio. Wright plans to create work in the studio, exhibit it within Second Life in a Gallery on Otis Island . He will in turn create and display work created from the second life environment back in the Guerilla Studio. The Second Life Gallery will be projected into the real life Guerilla Studio.

The Second Life Otis Gallery will be open daily from Sunday August 5 through Thursday, August 9. The artist will be around most days. He has promised to be available to meet Second Life residents on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 6 pm pst.

This will be the first public event on the new Otis Island. Beginning Fall 2007, Otis Digital Media students will be working there as part of their curriculum. Stay tuned for reports on their experience.

For those attending SIGGRAPH, Michael Wright will speak about his current work in virtual worlds in the Guerrilla Studio classroom Monday, August 6th at 1:10 pm.
