works & conversations #14 is now in print.

works & conversations has been published since 1998. Each issue
features in-depth interviews with artists, portfolios and other
works. Past interviews include Judy Pfaff, Squeak Carnwath, Jim
Campbell, James Turrell, Mildred Howard, Viola Frey, Paolo Soleri,
Michael McMillen, James Doolin, Ann Hatch, Ursula von Rydingsvard,
Enrique Martinez Celaya, Nathan Oliveira, Godfrey Reggio, Robert
Brady and others less well known.

In the new issue we feature an extraordinary interview with Irene
Pijoan who taught at the San Francisco Art Institute for some twenty
years before her untimely death in 2004.

Also featured is a portfolio of paintings by Craig Nagasawa, a
longtime art faculty member at UC Berkeley and Pijoan’s husband.

Among additional material in the new issue is a long essay on the
work of artist Tony May, classmate of Bruce Naumann and recently
retired art faculty member at San Jose State University.
