DUTIES:
Reporting to the Associate Librarian for Reader and
Circulation Services, creates and implements resource training, programming,
outreach initiatives and provides reference service by performing the following
duties:
- Create, organize and implement appropriate training
for all users (CMA staff, CMA/CRWU Joint Program participants, scholars, museum
members, public and other researchers), including, but not limited to, group
training, individual training and customized training
- Keeps all users apprised of new resources and
changes to existing resources
- Works with museum departments and outside
institutions to determine service/instruction and programming needs
- Creates and implements programming which utilizes
the library and archives collections to attract viable new audiences
- Creates and implements programming to expand member
benefits
- Provides reference services to users
- Manages the Library on Wednesday evenings during
academic year as assigned
- Prepares annual and statistical reports as requested
- Maintains proficiency in relevant functions of the
Aleph system and other electronic resources used in providing reference
services
- Oversees organization of book sale
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art History and
Masters’ degree in library science (M.L.S.)
- Two to three years related experience and /or
training
