Colleagues,
The Atlanta College of Art Library of the Savannah College of Art and Design will host Jill Timm, a nationally known book artist, for daytime workshops and an evening lecture on April 16, 2007. Timm will discuss and demonstrate her recent works throughout the day for SCAD faculty, students and staff. At 7pm in The Hub at SCAD-Atlanta she will present a free, public lecture entitled “An Artist Book from Conception to Completion”.
As an adjunct to Timm’s presentations, seventeen pieces of her work will be on display in the ACA Library of SCAD. All those attending Timm’s lecture are invited to visit the library after the event to view the works in the new artists’ books room, a recently renovated addition to the library. New acquisitions to the artists’ book collection will also be on display along with an exhibit in celebration of National Poetry Month entitled, “Convergence: Voices Painted, Pictures Written”.
Please join us if you are in Atlanta on the 16th, and please plan on touring the library during the upcoming ARLIS conference.
