Hello collective wisdom, The Education Department here at the museum is going to develop multimedia kits on certain Native American artists who will be visiting us during the next year. Included in the kits will be a DVD of the artist talking. Our visual technician will capture this footage for us. The kits will be sold at cost to individuals, mostly teachers, for educational purposes. The museum will have the copyright to these kits (they will get ISBNs), therefore the Department wants to let the artists sign a form of consent in which they give up the copyright to these kits, and in particular the DVD. Does anybody of you out there have any experience with this? In particular, could you provide us with an example of such a form? Thank you so much, Kitty Kitty Jansen, MA,MLS Librarian Watanabe Family Library Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art 500 West Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46204 [log in to unmask] 317-275-1346 visit our web site at www.eiteljorg.org <http://www.eiteljorg.org> __________________________________________________________________ Mail submissions to [log in to unmask] For information about joining ARLIS/NA see: http://www.arlisna.org/join.html Send administrative matters (file requests, subscription requests, etc) to [log in to unmask] ARLIS-L Archives and subscription maintenance: http://lsv.uky.edu/archives/arlis-l.html Questions may be addressed to list owner (Judy Dyki) at: [log in to unmask]
