I was wondering ... Is there any listing anywhere? I recall seeing a booklet some years ago, which by now would probably need updating. I think it was published by the Guild of Book Workers. In looking for it on the web just now, I found the ALA/ACRL website http://www.ala.org/ala/acrl/acrlpubs/crlnews/backissues2004/april04/bookarts.htm which lists book arts on the web. (From a C&RL News issue) Under the GBW website from there, there is a "Study Opportunities List" that may be of help. It wasn't what I was thinking of - the booklet only listed MA and/or MFA programs. This lists anyone who teaches any kind of book art-related activity. The University of Wisconsin-Madison has generated many fine book artists over the past thirty years and continues to offer a few courses in this area. I know that the University of the Arts in Philadelphia has a very active program in book arts. Many of us have wonderful artists' book collections in our libraries, but where are the best places to learn/study this art form? This may be of interest to others, so please reply to the arlis-l list.
