My reading was much the same--the awards would be presented at the 
convocation as usual, but made known earlier than that.  Unfortunately 
I've deleted the message about this change so I can't refer back for the 
reasons given.  Since 
it's the Arlis version of the National Book Awards, so to speak, perhaps 
we should delay announcing until the presentation itself, just to enhance 
the glory?  Certainly I would not post to any list or website until after 
the presentation.  I think this puts me in the same camp as Gregg Most and 
Bill Walker, with whom I usually do agree.
