Christie's Library is offering full-time unpaid summer internships in
the library at the Rockefeller Center location in New York.

When: May 21, 2007 to July 27, 2007
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30 - 5:30

The full-time program offers a hands-on introduction to the inner
workings of an auction house and to the New York art world.  The
internship starts with a brief orientation, after which each participant
will work in the library for the duration of the internship.
Internships are available to students who are able to earn academic
credit. 

Required Qualifications:
*Enrollment in an accredited library science program
*Interest in art and art history
*Enthusiasm and ability to work alone and as a team member
*Experience in database applications
*Advanced skills in a language other than English a plus

Responsibilities:
*Perform retrospective cataloguing of books, auction catalogs, and
periodicals
*Assist with reference queries from specialist departments
*Perform various administrative/clerical tasks
