I am forwarding this announcement at the request of Eve Sinaiko of CAA.

Dear all,

Please excuse the group e-mail and also (for some of you) the cross-posting. As you know, the College Art Association Annual Conference takes place next week in New York City, at the Hilton Hotel, 6th Avenue at 53rd Street.

I want to call your attention to a number of sessions and events (see below) that address questions of art and image copyrights and uses, publishing, and other related issues. This year we have an exceptionally rich roster of such sessions. I attach a list of them, with times and locations.

For those of you who do not normally attend the CAA Conference, information about it is available here: http://conference.collegeart.org/2007/ Including a complete roster of conference sessions and other events. Single-day passes are available.

Please note that "Reexamining Appropriation, Part I" has been moved offsite and will take place at the New York City Bar Association on 44th Street. Please see the flyer below. This panel will be of exceptional interest, and includes the Hon. Pierre Leval, of the US Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit. This event is open to the public, free of charge. (The information in the published conference program is incorrect.)

Best regards,
Eve Sinaiko
Director of Publications
College Art Association
