The Theatre Library Association - in conjunction with Mint Theater, New
York City Center Encores!, and Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival - announces
its second Symposium, Performance Reclamation: Research, Discovery, and
Interpretation.

Exploring the complex challenges of staging works recovered from dramatic
and musical repertories, three in-depth case studies of remounting works of
drama, musical theatre, and modern dance will be presented:

Friday, February 16, 2007
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Kimmel Center for University Life
New York University
70 Washington Square South/LaGuardia Place

Known for excavating buried theatrical treasures, artists and dramaturgs
from Mint Theater, Encores! and Jacob’s Pillow will take the audience on a
theatrical dig - rediscovering musical scores, recovered choreography, and
forgotten plays. Issues of original intent, interpretation, and artistic
license will be considered.
