The positions can be viewed by anyone visiting the website, not just SAH

Subject: Re: [ARLIS-L] visual arts
employment resource?
Renee,
As someone who came to librarianship from teaching art and working in museums,
I can offer a couple of suggestions. My suggestions are web-based resources,
and I am not familiar with which are available in a print version.
Unfortunately, in the last few years CAA changed their policy and now only
allows members to view job postings. I have found that the Chronicle of Higher
Education is the only other listing that comes close to CAA's exhaustive
listing. The Chronicle does allow non-members to view postings online. http://chronicle.com/jobs
As for museum employment, the American Association of Museums allows
non-members to view online postings.

Other sites such as http://www.artsopportunities.org/
gather art opportunites but not academic teaching positions. A site that
requires a fee to access its info is: http://www.artjob.org/
I hope this is helpful,

Good
morning – We recently subscribed to Artsearch, the national employment bulletin
for the performing arts (http://www.tcg.org/artsearch/index.cfm), and I would like
to know if there is such a resource for jobs in the visual arts. I know the College
Art Assn offers job listings to members, but I'm wondering about a resource
more along the lines of Artsearch – not tied to an organizational membership.
Also, is there such a resource in the museum world?
Many,
many thanks!
