Our library system will not allow the art library to purchase and
install a scanner for public use, although it is often requested by
users. The reason is that Pitt students have access to scanners in the
various computer labs around campus and the library system does not want
to fund one and has no staff resources to teach its use. the only
problem with that thinking is that our collection is non-circulating!
