I had the pleasure of attending the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies Conference held recently in Washington, DC.  At the session on Saturday, November 18th entitled “Treasure Troves of Works on Paper for the Study of Russian and Eastern European Art and Architecture: Little Known Resources in Washington, DC”, I mentioned the Washington Art Library Resources Committee (WALRC).  This is an organization to which I belong that provides funding for print and non-print publications relating to the art historical and architectural collections of Washington, DC area libraries.  Up to $5,000 may be provided for each project.  The WALRC website (http://www.walrc.net) contains the history of the organization and the publication guidelines.  If you are working on a project that falls within these guidelines, or know of someone who is, I hope that you will make an application for funding.
