Queens College Art Center is pleased to invite you to Geoffrey Detrani and Jacek Maczynski: Recent Works.In their pictorial language, each of the contemporary New York-based artists bridges diverse environments. Detrani, who is also a writer, creates an uneasy interaction between “natural” and constructed space, and Maczynski, a visual artist and creator of short films, connects the meditative experiences of the Western and Eastern traditions. The exhibition will open on Thursday, November 2 with a free gallery talk by the artists from 5 to 6 pm and a reception to 8 pm, and will be on view through December 22.
