Librarian for Art & Architecture

seek candidates with flexibility, creativity, and a strong customer service commitment
to serve as Reference/Subject Librarian for Art & Architecture in the
beautiful new Kenneth and Nancy Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library. This
position reports to the Art & Architecture Librarian.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop
and implement effective, user-centered reference and instructional programs and
services in the Art & Architecture Library; select resources and provide
faculty liaison for assigned subjects; and participate in the development of
library-related electronic information technologies and projects. This
position will manage all Art & Architecture Library operations in the
absence of the Librarian.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: MLS
from an ALA-accredited library school; undergraduate degree in architecture,
art, art history or a closely related field with advanced degree preferred;
knowledge of electronic information technologies, electronic resources in art
and architecture, and reading knowledge of a western-European language desired.
Experience: Strong commitment to
proactive library service and enthusiasm for work with students and faculty;
experience providing reference and library-instructional service; ability to
initiate, plan, and carry out projects, both independently and as a member of a
team. Experience with digital imaging projects desirable.

SALARY, BENEFITS, AND APPLICATION: Salary Range:
