Dear Museum Librarians,

I am sending this message on behalf of my summer intern (a second-year
MLIS student). Do any of you have collection development policies that
you would be willing to share? (See his message below.)

His name is Jeff Winter and his email is [log in to unmask] Thanks so
much for your assistance.

Best,
Traci

Subject: Collection development policy

Hi Traci,

Our final assignment in Collection Development is to write a CD
policy for an actual library. Jie and I, along with one other
classmate, have chosen the SAAM library. A part of the assignment is
to review policies of similar libraries in the U.S. I searched the
sites for Freer-Sackler and San Francisco AAM libraries for their CD
policies but without success. I'm sure such large institutions have
them. Do you have any colleagues working in AAM libraries whom we
might be able to ask for a copy of their policy?

Thanks,

Jeff
