"Art History and Its Publications in the Electronic Age"

The current issue of the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, on pp. 333, 482-483, carries a report by Hilary Ballon on "Art History and Its Publications in the Electronic Age."  I believe all art and architecture librarians will be interested in the findings of the report, and so wanted to recommend it to my ARLIS/NA colleagues through ARLIS-L. It contains both hopeful and sobering observations on the state of serious publishing in one of our key fields.

The same issue contains reviews of several books about architecture books -- so this September 2006 issue of the JSAH is definitely worth a look.
