Dear Collective Wisdom,
I am looking for enlightenment on a photographic process called
“Statista” – with a capital “S”.
The image appears to be a gelatin silver print type of
process and was taken by Tina Modotti in 1927.
I have checked all of the usual photography sources with no
luck. I have a feeling that the process was a variant of the gelatin
silver print and named after its creator. It was probably used for only a
very brief time and by a very limited number of photographers.
Thanks -
