Dear Mr. Gottschalk:
There is so much that isn't
covered in the courses in library school that it seems an egregious excess for
you to consider writing an M.A. thesis for your degree. If you were in a Ph.D.
program that would be another thing altogether, but for the M.L.S., you should
concentrate on your courses, and raise questions about doing budgets, and
working with real vendors, and other questions/issues that aren't being covered
in your courses, but which you will certainly encounter once you begin working.
