If your institution has considered using images of items in the collection in an online exhibit, database, virtual archive/museum (even if you decided not do), would you mind taking the time to complete a quick survey? Please feel free to forward this link. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=188272439914 I am preparing a project about the intellectual property rights issues surrounding the use of digital images of artwork and cultural objects in online databases and other web interfaces. I am interested in the experiences of people at institutions that have undertaken such a project, or considered the possibility and decided not to do so. The information collected in this survey will be used for a poster to be presented at the 2006 Sofia conference on Globalization, Digitization, Access, and Preservation of Cultural Heritage, and a paper I may write based on the poster. I will not disclose any identifying information about you or your institution unless you give me explicit permission to do so. Please feel free to skip any question that you do not feel comfortable answering. Thank you for your help.
