Library Graphic Lab Coordinator Position- Fashion Institute of Technology -
SUNY, New York City

QUALIFICATIONS
Four years of print production experience with expertise in 4-color output
and color management; and at least two years service bureau with network
experience or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or an
art related discipline preferred. Must also have professional experience
utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, AutoCAD, Access and Excel; advanced
digital compositing, color correction and rendering. Ability to maintain
various copiers, printers (i.e. Cannon, Epson, etc) and other peripherals.
Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware and network problems. Must be
able to work in both Macintosh and Windows environments. Customer service
with orientation to meeting customer deadlines. Office management and
supervisory experience required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and coordinate with supervisor the daily operations of the FIT
Graphics Lab including but not limited to: The supervision and training of
staff, supervision of student printing area and student monitors,
implementing and scheduling of production workflow. Assure high standards of
quality control and adherence to production deadlines. Oversee and report on
utilization statistics and quantity of services rendered; maintain accurate
production logs of all print jobs. Maintain Graphics Lab databases.
Troubleshoot technical problems with equipment. Recommend actions to be
taken to rectify technical difficulties. Make recommendations as to new
equipment to be purchased for the lab; communicate with equipment vendors.
Oversee inventory. Assure proper equipment warranties and service contracts
are kept current. Assist supervisor with budget analysis, marketing, lab
development and special projects.
