Researching artist John Houser 1859-1919
There is a Cincinnati artist named John Hauser who painted native American scenes.  I assume this is the artist you are seeking even though the spelling is slightly different. There is a little information about Hauser on AskArt.com.  We also have a file on him and he is included in Haverstock's Ohio Artists dictionary.  I think he might have been part of the Taos School although I have not checked and am not sure. I can send you photocopies if that will help.

A patron has a painting entitled "The Sioux Camp at Wounded Knee" dated 1904 and is looking for information on the artist John Houser - 1859-1919.  I have searched online and cannot locate any info on this artist.  Is there anyone out there familiar with the artist or can you point me in the right direction to search?  Any info will be greatly appreciated.
