Santos (Art) -- [country]  (Santos usually depict saints, but the books may include illustrations of other iconography.)

You might find that biographical information on artists in developing countries is scarce; moreover, some religious art is uncredited folk art for which little definite information will be available.

Do any of you have suggestions of books we might buy that would offer these images AND some biographical information about the artists?  We have only one book in our library that answers to the subject heading of "Christian Art and Symbolism – East Asia" and none for Latin America.
