Please excuse duplication-- Are you interested in artists' books? Do you tend to put Art Documentation aside when it comes in the mail, postponing it for when you have "more time." Don't miss the very interesting--and challenging--article in the current (Vol.25, no. 1--Spring 06) issue of Art Doc on the Artists' Books Conference that was organized by ARLIS/SC May 21-24, 2005. It's by Lynne S. Vieth, who is an MLIS Graduate Student at San Jose State U. The title is "The Artist's Book Challenges Academic Convention," and it's on p.14-19. I don't know Ms. Vieth, but her article is definitely the work of a mature writer, who not only attended the conference, but also brings a good deal of the relevant literature to bear on the subject. Definitely worth a look.
