hi all,
i've been reading this discussion with interest--but finally felt like
weighing in..i, for one, would seriously not like losing the designation
of being a 'library' association....that term has legitimacy, concerning
documentation, as sherman mentionned. there is a link to scholarship
and subject depth. the field has changed, obviously, and the VRA is also
a significant organization; i'm not saying otherwise.
but being a 'library' association has cultural meaning all it's own.
