I have just noticed that Joan Benedetti's reply to me went to ARLIS-L
and included my original message, which I only sent to (and intended
for) the listserv for the California chapters. Although I stand by my
opinions, I would not have phrased them in quite the same way if
addressed to the larger ARLIS/NA audience, and I apologize if anyone
was offended by my wording. Clearly this is an issue causing
emotional reactions.
