Joshua Levine will discuss his work and the third floor site-specific installation, "SKRAWL," with the critic and writer Joyce Korotkin.
Joshua Levine, an emerging multimedia artist, lives and works in New York. He received his MFA from University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida and his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is the recipient of awards from Dade Community Foundation, Lowe Art Museum, Maryland Art Institute, Pratt Institute, San Francisco Art Institute, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and University of Miami. He has exhibited in many group and solo exhibitions the US and Europe. His two most recent exhibitions were held at Ambrosino Gallery in Miami, Florida and at Palazzo della Ragione in Milan, Italy.
Joyce Korotkin, a critic, curator and writer, is the US correspondent for Tema Celeste Contemporary Art, and a regular contributor of reviews and feature articles to ARTnews, ArtReview, and M-The New York Art World as well as several catalogue essays for artists such as Janet Filomeno, Johannes Girardoni and Robert Longo. She teaches art at the Renaissance School in Montclair, New Jersey and at the Yard School of Art in the Montclair Art Museum. Her most recent curatorial project titled, "Neo-Baroque!," was the inaugural exhibition for Byblos Art Gallery in Verona, Italy. She is the recipient of several awards including a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Artist/Educator Fellowship.
