Project Assistant Archivist

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is seeking a full-time Project
Assistant Archivist. Reporting to the Project Archivist, the Project
Assistant Archivist is responsible for processing the holdings of the
Archives, including arranging, describing, and re-housing designated
collections.  

 

The successful candidate will posses a MLIS from an ALA-accredited program
with course work in archives administration or Masters in archival
management.  Knowledge of current archival and records management methods,
procedures, tools, and techniques, including preservation trends and
applications required. 

 

This is a union position subject to the provisions of the collective
bargaining agreement.

This is a grant-funded, 24 month full-time position with excellent benefits,
including paid health, dental and vision benefits in addition to paid
vacation, holidays, and sick time.
