For those in the New York area (or who plan to be in April for the ABAA Book Fair), I highly recommend The Rosenbach Company, a show for "music-theater" by Ben Katchor & Mark Mulcahy.

I was fortunate to catch a one-night only performance last year in NYC, and left feeling honored, proud, and privileged that an "outsider" as gifted as Katchor had devoted his talent to producing something so insightful, humurous, and "hip" about the rare book world. (Katchor has received numerous awards, including an Obie, a Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship [1995], and a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship [2000]. He is best known as a comic artist, graphic novelist, and author of The Jew of New York and Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer, among others).

Details are as follows:

The Rosenbach Company
Text and drawings by Ben Katchor
Music by Mark Mulcahy
