The person at our Museum who receives requests for rights and
reproductions says that she knows of no such agency. She did say that
some publishers like Princeton University Press farmed this kind of work out
in the past (and they might be a source of a name), but that all requests that
she receives these days come either from the author or directly from the
publisher.

I have a faculty member who is about to publish a paper. The
publisher
wants him to get the necessary permissions to reproduce the
images. He
wants to know if there is a company that does this sort of
thing. Can
the collective wisdom help?
Thanks.
