This has been the Winter of Construction, making new room for the books and
stuff, and a daily scramble to keep them clean and undamaged. Somehow, I’ve
managed to assemble a short list for you, a truly miscellaneous collection,
with something for everyone on this list: more conceptual/minimalist
material, including Richard Long and Arte Povera; a group of things related
to Paul Rudolph’s work at Yale; Europeans including Kosuth and Zoran Music;
a complete copy of Volume 1, No. 1 of Aspen: The Magazine in a Box; a
scarce catalogue from a Duchamp exhibition in Naples in 1975; an
interesting signed Dada piece; a copy of Eric Bogosian’s first book; the
Guggenheim’s three-volume set on Scandinavian artists; Douglas Abdell’s
Kryad Poems; a great resource on the Push Pin Studio style; Ben Shahn’s
take on Rilke’s Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge; photography by Joseph
Albers, Man Ray, and Rodchenko (a very scarce catalogue); MOMA’s analysis
of DW Griffith’s Intolerance; and more. I hope you find something here that
you don’t already have.
