Try Craig Eliason's Art Historian's Guide to the movies. If you look under Modernism, you'll find Surviving Picasso, Carrington, etc. but will also find representations of art in film. It's a fun site!

ARLIS,

Does anyone know of a website and/or book that lists feature films--not documentaries--that are about artists (e.g., Pollock, Frida, Girl With a Pearl Earring, The Fountainhead, etc.)?

I have a copy of “Art on Screen: A Directory of Films and Videos About the Visual Arts” where a chapter entitled “Celluloid Portraits: Feature Films on Art and Artists” can be found.  But it’s more of a bibliographic essay as opposed to a straightforward list and the imprint is 1991.

Thanks for any help.
