LOIS SWAN JONES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARD 2006
The Lois Swan Jones Award honors University of North Texas Professor
Emerita Jones, by underwriting participation of Texas-Mexico Chapter
members at the national ARLIS/NA meeting. While first-time conference
attendees are especially encouraged, the award committee urges everyone
with interest and need to apply. The primary criterion is that an
applicant not have full institutional funding. Previous winners are
eligible. A description of the award, procedures for applying, and a
list of previous recipients is on the Chapter Web site at

This year's award of $750 is to support travel to the 2006 ARLIS/NA
conference in Banff, Alberta, Canada, May 5-9, 2006.
The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, January 20, 2006.
The award winner will be announced on Wednesday, February 1, 2006.
