The ARLIS/NA Northwest Chapter is offering a US$500 travel award to attend 
the annual conference in Banff, Alberta, May 5-8, 2006.

To be eligible to apply for this award, you must be a current member of the 
Northwest Chapter.  Please send your application with the following 
information to Jane Devine Mejia, Chair, ARLIS/Northwest at 
[log in to unmask] The deadline for applications is Friday, February 17, 
2006 and the winner will be notified by March 1.

Required information:

1.      Name
2.      Title
3.      Institution
4.      Address
5.      State/Province
6.      Phone number
7.      Email address
8.      Short explanation of why the Chapter should support your attendance 
at the annual conference (not to exceed 200 words).

The Chapter executive will consider these factors in evaluating the 
applications:

1.      Is this the first time the member has attended an annual conference?
2.      Is the member actiively involved in the Northwest Chapter?
3.     What are the member's specific goals for the conference (e.g. giving 
a paper, serving on a committee, chairing a session, professional 
development)?
4.      What level of financial support is available from the member's home 
institution?

The winner must submit a written report on the conference to the Chapter
