The University is seeking an outstanding candidate to be responsible for the
management of the Visual Resource Collection (VRC). Based in the University
Library and reporting to the Director of Library Services, the successful
candidate will manage the collection and coordinate the services provided
through the VRC, including reference services, faculty support and library
instruction. The current collection consists of an extensive slide library,
film, video and audio materials. A major initiative is the transition from an
analog to a digital collection.
Extensive knowledge of digital asset management practices and applications, along
with demonstrated supervisory and administrative skills are requisites. An
ALA-accredited degree in Library and Information Science and three years
experience with visual resource collections are required. In addition, a
Bachelor or Masters degree in art history or the visual arts is preferred.
Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and in accordance with the Faculty
Salary Grid. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply; however,
