Please forward this info about registration for VRA's 2006 Conference to your listserve.
*******************************

We are happy to announce that online registration for the Visual Resources Association 2006 Annual Conference to be held in Baltimore from March 6th to10th began Thursday, December 1st and will continue through January 31st, 2006.

The theme Image is Everything will be reflected in the conference programming, special events and receptions. Sessions, seminars, and workshops will discuss successes in shared cataloging, building digital image collections, understanding copyright law and image policies, working with XML, CCO, and the VRA Core, and other cutting edge issues. Keynote speaker Profesor P.M. Forni, renowned author and lecturer, will address issues of professionalism and civility in the workplace. Conference attendees will enjoy the Cyber Café and the "Ask the Experts" corner, and visit with major industry vendors in the Exhibit Hall. A tour of Homewood and Evergreen Historic Houses, A Curator's Choice Tour of the Walters Art Museum, a walk through the "Old and New" Inner Harbor, and an afternoon in Historic Annapolis are on the schedule. Of course, the VRA conference would not be complete without our exciting VRAffle and a very special Tansey Bowl Fundraiser.

If you are a member of VRA please make sure that you have first renewed your membership for 2006, and then go to the VRA conference website: http://www.vraweb.org/2006ConferenceBaltimore.html/ <http://www.vraweb.org/2006ConferenceBaltimore.html/> and review the schedule to make your choices, noting the cancellation and refund policies. There will be a link from the conference site to the registration form on MemberClicks. Remember that all conference registration is completed online regardless of payment type. If you are registering as a non-member you can enter your email address on the right side of the MemberClicks page and then proceed to the registration form.

We hope to see you there!
