Subject: [queerart] WOMEN ARTIST EXHIBITION & CHANCE

Hello, Everyone.

I am a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University
and they are exhibiting--right now--an unusual show: "How American
Women Artists Invented Postmodernism: 1970-1975." The list of artists
follows. Here is why I am writing. All of the artists are doing prints
for a portfolio (edition of 75, I think) and that portfolio may be
purchased for $3500, now, instead of the $10,000 that will be attached
to it, later. Oklahoma State--where I am now the department head--is
purchasing this portfolio for its collection and has scheduled an
exhibition for next fall to help inform our students of this important
time period and all it implies. We will also bring some of the artists
to campus. I thought some of you might want to think of doing
something similar.

ARTISTS: Eleanor Antin, Nancy Azara, Judy Baca, Lynda Benglis, Judy
Chicago, Mary Beth Edelson, Harmony Hammond, Joyce Kozloff, Faith
Ringgold, Rachel Rosenthal, Betye Saar, Miriam Schapiro, Carolee
Schneemann, Sylvia Sleigh, Joan Snyder, Nancy Spero, May Stevens,
Athena Tacha, June Wayne, Martha Wilson, Lauren Ewing, Diane Neumaier,
Martha Rosler, and Joan Semmel

Here is the basic information should you decide to pursue this:
