Error during command authentication.

Error - unable to initiate communication with LISTSERV (errno=10061, phase=CONNECT, target=127.0.0.1:2306). The server is probably not started.

We have extremely finite space at our library! In our weeding program we started collecting usage percentages for different call numbers in order to weed agressively the areas that are not used much, and to weed gently those areas with the greatest use.

Right now we have a 71% usage rate. In other words, 71% of our collection has been either checked-out or used and left on a cart for reshelving, in the last 2.5 years. We did not count any items added within the last year, in order for them to get a chance to be "discovered."

Has anyone else done similiar studies of their collections? We would love to hear from you. We thought about using this data for benchmarking and presenting to upper-management.
