Dear ARLIS members, My apologies in advance if my question is a bit trivial. From time to time, I notice that periodicals sometimes have special subscription rates for libraries, usually considerably higher than their standard rates. As a publisher myself, I sometimes wonder why that's the case. Our rates are the same for individuals and for libraries. Are there special services the publisher provides for a higher rate? I imagine that sometimes a copy of an issue might go missing, for instance. Will the publisher replace it given the higher subscription rate? So far this has never been an issue with works + conversations. Should anyone have a minute to spare, perhaps someone could enlighten me a bit on this question. Many thanks, Richard Whittaker, editor and publisher works + conversations www.conversations.org __________________________________________________________________ Mail submissions to [log in to unmask] For information about joining ARLIS/NA see: http://www.arlisna.org/join.html Send administrative matters (file requests, subscription requests, etc) to [log in to unmask] ARLIS-L Archives and subscription maintenance: http://lsv.uky.edu/archives/arlis-l.html Questions may be addressed to list owner (Kerri Scannell) at: [log in to unmask]
