INTERIM LIBRARIAN (full time)

Currier Museum of Art, Manchester, NH, seeks a library professional to
manage its 10,000 volume art reference library.  Librarian is responsible
for: developing the collection; supervising volunteers; establishing and
overseeing library budget, operations, delivery of library services, and
reference activities; maintaining technical services (cataloguing, serials,
and acquisitions) including computer software, and new automated library
catalog (TLC’s Library Solutions).  Cataloging duties will include both
original and copy cataloging; bibliographic maintenance and database clean
up, and authority work.

Qualifications:  Masters degree in Library Science or Information Science
from an A.L.A. accredited institution.  Demonstrated knowledge of MARC
format, Library of Congress Classification, Library of Congress Subject
Headings, Indexing, OCLC, and First Search are required.  Minimum two years
of professional cataloging experience.  Working knowledge of technical
processing systems/routines and experience in library automation systems is
essential.  Self-motivation and willingness to work independently are
essential.  Excellent written and oral communications skills.  No phone
