OCLC Terminologies pilot

Cross posted; my apologies for the duplication.

OCLC <www.oclc.org>  is exploring a service that provides access to multiple thesauri for libraries, museums, and archives to create consistent metadata for their collections providing mappings across thesauri to assist in relating terminology.  The service would provide a ‘one-stop’ thesaurus web service and would be accessible through any web-enabled metadata editor.

We are seeking users who can incorporate this potential service into their workflow during the pilot period -- August to September, 2005.   During this pilot, we will be conducting market research (in the form of online surveys and/or phone interviews) to solicit feedback from participants.  As a result of the pilot we expect to gain insight on how to better serve your needs for a terminologies service.  You do not need to be an OCLC member to participate, however, you do need access to

To find out more information about the current OCLC Connexion pilot (this pilot ends July 31), please check out http://www.oclc.org/productworks/terminologiespilot.htm.  Note that this site and the work instructions do not include access to the pilot service.

If you would like to participate in the pilot, you may use the following link to provide contact information and indicate thesauri interest:
